Listen In!

The Avett Brothers!
This is such a good band, I like every song I hear them sing!  The Avett Brothers combine many different styles of music... folk, indie rock, alt country, and roots rock to name a few!  I feel like I don't get bored listening for extended periods of time because I enjoy the diversity of their music.  Without trying to be the music critic I am not I will just say they sound nice to my ears!  The Avett Brothers official website leaves a lot to be desired so check out their You Tube channel instead!

Is that all?

Our tree is already down, "most" of the candy has been hidden away, and we made two trips to the recycling center today.  All the hype and all the build up to Christmas day explodes when the day after you think "is that all"!

It was summed up perfectly by #1 daughter who with disappointment in her voice said to Uncle Kev today, "kismiss is oder".  It is quite a let down especially for someone who is only 3 feet tall and just experienced her first Christmas in which she actually had an idea of what was going on.

There were presents, food, family, fun, and today there was the crash...

She really wanted to go to the park but was out before we got 2 blocks from home!
Sportin' her awesome hat, knitted by Auntie O!
I just thought this one was cute, looks like she got busted eating all the cookies!

I guess it's time to start getting ready for next year!

Thanks, Love ya.

We have been so blessed this year and I can't wait to see what 2012 will bring!  I hope all of you, my wonderful friends and family, will have a happy and safe holiday.  Wishing all of you love and prosperity in the new year!

Thanks, Love ya.

For me it doesn't get any better!  So much love!

Reindeer Food!

We made Reindeer Food!  It's really easy, here is what you need...

*Floral Moss - Grass from the North Pole!
*Quick Cook Oats - A reindeer's favorite treat!
*Tinsel - Silver hay to help keep the reindeer warm!
*Glitter or Confetti - Sprinkles to make the reindeer fly extra fast!
*A container to put your finished reindeer food in.

You can use any or all of these ingredients to make reindeer food.  I got everything from the dollar store including cute little containers to hold the grub, it was super cheap.  We had lots of fun, made a big mess, and #1 daughter is excited to spread it all over the yard so the reindeer have a treat while Ho Ho delivers her Christmas presents!

Put all the ingredients in a big bowl.
Use lots of grass from the North Pole!
Mix it all up, hands work best!

Sprinkle all over outside your house to treat the reindeer!

 Thanks, Love ya.

Book Report

We love to read in our house and #1 daughters favorite book at the moment is Snowmen at Christmas by Caralyn Buehner!  This fun book is about how the snowmen we build sneak off to celebrate Christmas when we all go to sleep.

The first snowmen book we got was Snowmen at Night and I think we've read it a hundred times or more.  There is also Snowmen All Year which we don't own yet but we borrowed it from the library and it is just as good as the other two.

If you are looking for a Christmas gift for your little one(s) I highly reccomend these books!

Thanks, Love ya.
