The Munch Minute!

Hey all, I have decided to expand my blogging!

The Munch Minute is my new food blog and you can get to it by clicking the food tab at the top of this page.

I would say I'm a pretty average cook, nothing to fancy.  I really like to cook once I decide what to make.  Most of the time deciding what to cook is my problem and in an effort to motivate myself this blog will include...

The top 5 meals our family ate the previous week.  Let's be honest we usually eat out a couple of meals because I get a little tired by the end of the week and we like to! Maybe the top 5 meals posts will help some of you with ideas for your weekly meal plan.

Eating out will occasionally inspire a restaurant review post.  I am already planning a post for Moki's Hawaiian Grill, it sure was tasty!

I will be posting some of my favorite recipes and links to recipes on the web that my family enjoys.  Get used to the Pioneer Woman, no doubt you'll be directed there a quite a bit, love her! 

Who knows, I may even do some product reviews.

Evolution

Text messaging between me and the Husband has definitely changed from when we started dating. 

Here are some examples of what our texts used to be like...

*Wanna ski tomorrow?
*What movie do you want to see tonight?
*You should move to New Zealand with me for the summer!

We haven't been to a movie in months and forget about traveling the world!
Don't get me wrong, we are very happy but the following are examples of the text messages I get now...

*Need milk now!
*Hurry home, this sucks!  He won't go to sleep!
*Baby girl pooped a huge one! (sorry for the bathroom humor grandma Becky)

"They" Say...

This post is just a bit of a rant about my latest pet peeve (link to a time waster). 

The infamous "they"!  Who are "they"?  Have you caught yourself doing this?  I have and it drives me nuts!  I will start with "they say..." and continue to tell a story about something I have read, listened to, or watched on television.  I wish I was "they", "they" know what I should eat, "they" know how I should parent my kiddos, "they" seem to know everything! 

So here is what I propose we all try to do.  If you have something to say that comes from "they", start by saying where your information actually comes from. 

"They" say its good to get things off your chest!
